Moving Forward Together: Commitments and Expectations

Engage : 3factors
3 Factors for a Successful Coaching Engagement

“We change our behavior when the pain of staying the same becomes greater than the pain of changing. Consequences give us the pain that motivates us to change.”

― Dr. Henry Cloud & Dr. John Townsend

Regardless of our type of engagement, the basic premise is that the status quo (financial, organizational, personal, etc.) has become so unbearable or overly self-limiting that something must change. This mindset underpins your accountability and commitment to the work, time, and efforts required to make long-lasting, impactful, and positive changes in yourself, your team, or your organization.

Your 3 Factors for Success

As simple and reductive as it may seem, your three factors in achieving your goals are as follows:

  1. Strong commitment to success
  2. Full support of the process
  3. Steadfast accountability

My 3 Factors for Success

Confidentiality

Trust is a fragile gift that I vigorously protect.

Confidentiality is paramount to my practice. Should our engagement require interviewing members of the management team or employees, or conducting 360-degree assessments, these interviews and/or results will be kept strictly confidential unless express permission has been provided by a specific participant. The client will receive summaries and general observations that protect individuals interviewed or those asked to participate in an assessment.

Communications

You can expect straight talk and candor during our discussions, even on sensitive topics—all within a nonjudgmental environment of absolute confidentiality.

Transparency

Leadership Coaching: An important aspect of successfully coaching an individual is their openness to uncovering the hidden truth or root causes limiting a client’s growth or ability to succeed. As such, leadership coaching requires both parties to communicate authentically with each other while maintaining a forward-looking focus.

Team and Organizational Coaching: The effectiveness of our engagement is directly related to the quality and depth of the information I have access to. I depend on you and/or your team to provide the accurate information and nuanced perspectives necessary to establish clarity around the problem, generate actionable insights, and create practical plans and milestones.
