Elevating the Quiet Strengths of Introspective & Introverted Leaders

Code of Ethics

Introduction:

I am as motivated by positive outcomes as I am about the journey to reach them. I pledge to coach and guide my clients with the highest level of integrity and to always work in my client’s best interest, including after the end of our engagement.

Conduct:

As a coach, I adhere to the ICF Code of Ethics and uphold its Core Values. As appropriate or requested, I will introduce clients or prospective clients to other coaches with different specialties within my network or to other service professionals (lawyers, accountants, etc.). In the vast majority of cases, when I refer clients or prospective clients to other professionals, I do so without any financial incentive—I do not charge nor expect referral fees, preferring to create goodwill with all parties involved. Regarding referrals or introductions to investment banking or venture capital firms, I may receive referral fees and that information will be disclosed to all relevant parties.

Personally Identifiable Information:

Your success and any associated successes are yours alone; I was simply given the opportunity to help you reach your goals. For this reason, I will never post your name, company logo, or any other information related to our engagement without your express permission. I am looking to build long-lasting, trusted partnerships, not a portfolio of names.

To ensure authentic and honest conversations, information derived from assessments, individual interviews with stakeholders and/or our coaching sessions is kept strictly confidential (See Client Confidentiality) and no personally identifiable information will ever be shared between parties without express written permission. In cases where feedback or information is required to perform, for example, a 360-degree assessment, I will only share aggregated information with the client that covers themes or common issues. I will never share any information that can be tied back to a source that has trusted me with their insights without their express permission.

Pre-Existing Relationships:

Any pre-existing relationships I have with your associates, peers, team members, or clients has no impact on my coaching practice, our relationship, or any guidance provided. I firewall my interactions so I may continue to provide a safe, unbiased, and non-judgmental environment for our coaching. However, if that firewall is not possible or I feel there is a conflict of interest, I will either not accept someone as a client or, if we are already in a coaching relationship, I will disclose any information required for both of us to make an informed decision as to whether we can or should proceed down that path of inquiry.
